Optimization and Process Automations

We work on site optimization by minimizing scripts, optimizing Javascripts, compressing images and by applying a cache on the website.

Process & Approach

We turn to Google Page Insights to benchmark the initial score on the site for mobile and desktop users. We then work hard to optimize JavaScripts, the CSS, and images.

Platforms

We prefer Google Page Insights for scores, Gmetrics for page load time, and GULP as our platform to optimize images, JS & CSS. Gulp itself is a platform & we add new tasks to every module we add so it can automate the whole process for us.

We also use XDebug to debug our scripting code & check bottlenecks. A unit test called PHPUnit testing allows our developers to test the overall framework performance.
